Cold War Never Ended

I think by now we can all probably agree that the Cold War never actually ended. Putin is bombing Syria, and not where ISIS forces are located. He is purposely backing the Syrian President because he knows that the United States does not. Now some of you may think, well that doesn't prove that the Cold War never ended. But just think about it for a moment, why else would Russia and Putin support a President who is clearly not doing anything to try to get rid of ISIS, and is actually calling the rebels that are trying to get ISIS out of their country, the terrorists.
The U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter stated, "It does appear they were in areas where there probably not [ISIS] forces. The reason why the Russian position is contradictory is the potential for them to strike, which they may well have, are in areas where ISIS is not present."  Also, "The Russian approach is doomed to fail," he said.
These strikes are meant to aid Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's fight against ISIS, however, the strikes include attacks on areas held by Western-backed rebels who are fighting the Assad regime.
One of my closest friends is from Russia, and strongly believes that the Cold War never truly ended. The US and Russia were just finding a new way to continue it.

Well that is all for now.

More on this topic, hopefully, later.

Let Me See That Tight End

Well you know it is about to be fall when you it is that time to do your Fantasy Football draft. My league's draft was last night. It's a weak league, only six of us: Me, my sister, my friend L and roommate AW, my co-worker AM, and other friend AT. Drinking beers and talking football makes me excited for fall. From the title of this post, you can probably gather that my team's name is Let Me See That Tight End. C'est parfait.

My Team:
QB: Aaron Rodgers
QB: Teddy Bridgewater
RB: LeSean McCoy
RB: Latavius Murray
RB: Frank Gore
RB: Lamar Miller
WR: Antonio Brown
WR: T.Y. Hilton
WR: Andre Johnson
TE: Coby Fleener
TE: Antonio Gates
K: Stephen Gostkowski
K: Steven Hauschka
DEF: Broncos
DEF: Chiefs

It is going to be a fun season. Losers buy the winner drinks. Lot's of great people involved this year. Going to like binge watch The League this week.

Can't wait!

Encountering your ex on a dating app

One of the main reasons I haven't gotten back into online dating is because I really don't want to come across my ex-boyfriend. There are now articles out there to help you with such things if this does happen. Saying that even if you broke up mutually, then it is acceptable to "like" the guy. I do not agree. Even though we may have ended on good terms doesn't mean I want to come across him on a dating app. My ex and I broke up a few months ago, everything was fine. I hadn't gone back on any dating app since. (Btw, he and I met on a dating app). Anyways, my roommate did though and it freaked me out. I knew she wasn't going to "like" him, but it messed with my emotions. Now enough time has passed, and I thought I would be fine to do such things has check out his Facebook page. I was wrong. I discovered that he had gone to a bar that I had introduced him to when we were dating for his birthday. Now, normally I wouldn't really care but I had originally thought that since we had ended mutually, and relatively good terms, that he would wish me a happy birthday (my birthday is just a couple of days before his) but he didn't. So therefore, I didn't feel obligated to wish him a happy birthday either. Which brings me back to the whole bar thing. I know it is probably childish, but it just kind of felt like a stab in the heart almost. I had tried to talk to my friends about it, but they really didn't understand my feelings about it. Probably because I normally do not have feelings. Anyways, right now I am just living life as best as I can and taking my father's advise by playing the field. Besides, I am way to young to settle down. I'm only twenty-five.

Rain Rain Go Away

Rain Rain GO AWAY!!!
Two more days until Alumni weekend and it is currently raining. I do realize that April showers bring May flowers, but I want to be able to wear sun dresses and sandals. Not wear rain boots and rain jackets, getting soaked by the rain. That is no fun, its gross and so unattractive.
I need to finish my laundry tonight and start packing. I need to start planning on what I will be wearing this weekend. So my options.

Something new I will do is a quote that I have found that I can relate to in some way or know people who could.

"Stop over thinking. You can't control everything, just let it be."

Spring is in the Air

Even though the mornings are chilly, it is definitely better than frozen winter mornings. Today, I am wearing navy pants, navy Tory Burch flats, dark blue JCrew v-neck tee shirt, white JCrew cardigan, blue and white heart JMac scarf, and my roommates Barbour quilted jacket. I was planning on wearing my Brooks Brothers quilted jacket, however, this morning I could not find it anywhere. I am so happy that it is finally April. Nine more day until Alumni Weekend down in Roanoke, and I finally get to see my fierce boss bitch Claire Underwood channeling sister! Between now and Alumni Weekend: finish helping one of my best friends move into her new apartment, babysitting, roommate Easter dinner. I really don't have anything planned for next week yet. I will need to pack and coordinate with my friend when and where they will pick me up next Friday.

I hope y'all have a wonderful April 1st. Please go enjoy this beautiful day!

Its been awhile

I haven't written in this blog for a while, partly because I have been busy and also because honestly I haven't found the words to write anything. My life has kind have been at a standstill. Well, maybe not completely. Over the summer I started dating this great guy I met on Tinder. We have been together for eight months. But recently, it seems that he no longer has the time anymore to see me. This has been very frustrating. So as one aspect of my life is in shambles, I decided to work on other parts of my life. That is when I asked one of my best friends to help me look for a better job. The whole idea of searching for a job bores me and stresses me out at the same time. Searching the internet for jobs, submitting resumes and the adding cover letters and making sure that you put the right information in said cover letters. It can make a sane person go crazy.
Well the work day is almost over and I need to wrap up this post (yes I know its short), however, I do have to babysit tonight. I am going to do my very best about keeping up with this blog and posting good interesting articles for y'all to read and share some of my goals with y'all as well.

Best,
