Library cards & Snow days

Last night I stayed up a little later than I had planned. I just couldn't help it. Divergent is so good. It took an unexpected turn (I don't want to give anything away). I knew it would happen I just thought what was going to happen would have happened say in the next book. I just really want to know what happened to Tobias. So because I was so engrossed in this book I ended up falling asleep around 1am. The latest I had planned to stay up was midnight.

I have decided to not watch t.v. before bed, instead I will read. It helps that I just got my library card for DC so now I can get books anytime.
Maybe one day I will be like my wonderful roommate and become addicted to reading. Reading is definitely a better addiction than anything else. Obviously if I had to pick an addiction of my to write about it would be my addiction to bacon. I wish I could have it every day but if I did my sister would be worried that I was going to have a heart attack.

I think it would be perfect if I was laying on a beach some where tropical reading a book, drinking a fruity cocktail, and eating a plate of bacon. I would much rather be somewhere warm and tropical right now than in DC with all this snow. Don't get me wrong I like snow. But as I have gotten older, I have disliked snow more and more. In high school, we never had a snow day. If it did snow, I had to drive my sister's old beast of a Jeep instead of my classic BMW. Some kids I went to high school thought I was rich because I had 2 cars. But if they paid any attention, they should have noticed that those cars aren't in great condition.
In college, I remember only 2 snow days. The first one was either my Sophomore year or Junior year. Of course, it was during finals week. I was already done with my finals and I was just waiting for my sister and her friends to finish up with theirs. The snow delayed the final exams by a day. It was a snow day for pretty much everyone, except me, because I was done with finals and just ready to go home. The second was Senior year, and the only reason class was cancelled was because the President of the college slipped and fell on ice. I believe that was a day that I did not have class.

Snow days seem to happen more often in DC. Of course, it seems to me it is unnecessary to shut down everything if it snows a few inches. But I guess I won't complain if it means everyone gets a snow day. And who doesn't love a snow day?

xx
